This week...

This week, I made steady progress with the game Deep Blue Nightmare. Although I have the first level designed, I still have to create the bubbles that destroy the character. Hopefully I can get this done for next week.

This week

This week I simply worked more on my sprites and the first level of my game Deep Blue Nightmare. I created a door sprite and generally worked on the game.

The 5th week

Hello,

I was off last week, so I just picked up this week where everybody was at. We all designed a logo for a new game in Adobe Photoshop. Even though I have had experience in Paint Shop Pro, I found that it wasn't that hard to make the leap across programs. I quickly came up with a name for an imaginary game called Deep Blue Nightmare, and designed a logo for it, using a faded picture of an ice cave and a blue-ified picture of the sea. It's looking alright so far, but I can't help but think I could have done better in Paint Shop Pro. The logo so far is attached.

That's it for this week.

Week 3

Hi! This week, I finally created my own game. It's called "Game Dude" and it's a simple maze game with a wall, person and target sprite. It also has two rooms in it. A screenshot can be viewed to the left.

I was also supposed to do a game mind map template but I did not get around to it.

Week 1 & 2

Hello. Last week, we opened up a sample game in GameMaker called 'Catch the Clown'. We were also told what makes a game a game.

I made some slight changes in Catch the Clown. I changed the colour of the walls and the background - 3D red and yellow/blue airbrush. I also added more wall sprites to make four seperate compartments. That was pretty much it.

This week, we simply set up these new blogs to display all the game info.

There'll hopefully be more of the same game-making action next week.
